Construction Monitoring

Daily/Weekly progress tracking: Use Vimana to generate progress reports for ongoing construction projects. Each flight mission generates highly accurate orthomosaic and digital elevation map. Progress tracking feature will help your clients in keeping their stakeholders like investors and clients informed, thereby improving transparency.

Volumetric analysis: Use this feature to generate cut/fill reports. Each report can be generated by choosing two different surfaces. A surface can be based on an old manually conducted survey, a future state based on design proposed by an architect or an existing surface mapped by a drone and processed by Vimana platform.

A cut/fill report will not only provide your clients with a highly accurate view of progress being made, but also pinpoints areas where work has actually happened, thereby avoiding inaccurate billing and resulting disputes. Ad hoc volume measurements can also be used to conduct spot checks and avoid unused inventory and resulting financial loss.

Issue tracking: Empower your clients with an issue tracking workflow tool. One of the biggest problems of any large project is stakeholder communications and ensuring timely actions. The issue tracking feature of Vimana platform ensures that all stakeholders can keep track of issues and how they have been addressed.

Central monitoring of projects: Most projects are managed by conducting site visits and tracking issues using paper or electronic forms. Vimana provides a cost effective alternative. With Vimana, you provide your clients with a platform where projects can be monitored by centralized teams. The project assets can be used by QA, procurement, project management, site safety and other teams.

Asset Inspection

Perspective and 360 views: Perform a virtual site-walk through with this feature. This feature together with a plan view of the site is a great way to post stakeholders on project progress. Accurate and timely communications ensures that everyone is on the same page regarding the project. This feature also can be used by your clients for sales and marketing, to provide their prospective customers a view of the surroundings and the general vicinity.

CAD overlay: In a construction project, deviations from design have to be detected quickly and rectified. Timely detection and rectification can save expensive rework and potential regulatory infractions. Provide this feature to your clients to detect errors in setting out, incorrect excavation boundaries/foundation trenches, incorrect setbacks etc.

Planimetric Survey

Site selection: One of the single most important factors for financial success of a project is site selection. Help your clients by using Vimana platform to quickly assess sites for suitability. Site can be evaluated by conducting an aerial or hybrid survey to create contour lines and perform what-if analyses. Outputs from the platform can be imported into other applications such as AutoCAD™ or BIM.

Solar Buildout and Inspection

  • Features for inspections and monitoring

Map Outputs

When processed with GCP/ICP or if RTK/PPK drones are used for data collection the results are highly accurate. Map outputs are useful for the following:

  1. Ad-hoc length, area and volume measurements
  2. CAD overlay to detect deviations from design
  3. Generation of point cloud that can be imported into BIM

Non-Map Outputs

Many of the activities on an active construction site involve making observations. Typically these are done by inspectors touring the site and filling out paper or electronic forms. Non-Map outputs provide a more efficient and safe alternative.

  1. Virtual site walkthrough to make observations
  2. 360 panoramic views for a bird’s eye view of the site and surroundings
  3. Video walkthrough suitable for sales and marketing

Analytics

Aspec Scire provides both automated/self-service and customized reports covering many aspects of surveying and construction management.

  1. Progress tracking to capture progress vs schedule
  2. QA reports to highlight deviations from design
  3. Site observations for qualitative analysis and regulatory compliance
  4. Volumetric reports for cut/fill analysis for progress tracking and what-if analysis
  5. Contour lines and planimetric maps suitable for topographic surveys
